Requirements for the structure of mold parts in production |
In production, there are roughly the following requirements for the structural craftsmanship of mold parts: 1. The designed mold parts should be easy to achieve the processing quality required on the parts drawing, that is, the structure of the parts, and should be able to ensure that the processing is relatively easy, and the workload should be as small as possible. 2. Casting mold parts should facilitate the use of high-productivity processing methods. For example, the shape distribution of the processed surface of the parts should be reasonable, and standardization and standardization should be adopted as far as possible. 3. The design of the parts should help reduce the machining workload of the parts, that is, the machining surface should be minimized to reduce the workload and the consumption of tools, electrodes, and materials. 4. The material of the parts should be fully considered for ease of processing. Where possible, leave a retract position. 5. When setting holes for parts, the drilling depth should be reduced. Try to make the depth of the hole no greater than or equal to more than 5 times the hole diameter. 6. The structure of the parts is conducive to shortening the auxiliary time in the processing. For example, when the parts are processed, it should be easy to locate and clamp. 7. The parts should have good rigidity during processing. In order to increase rigidity, some parts should have a ladder shaft structure, such as punches with round holes and small cores. The diameters should be the same, and the diameters should decrease or increase in one direction. 8. The structure of the parts should take into account the safety during processing. Designers must fully consider the possible manufacturing process of the entire parts when designing casting mold parts and measuring their structural manufacturability. While satisfying the structural manufacturability, attention should be paid to saving raw materials, and various parts should be manufactured and processed with cheap materials and appropriate blank manufacturing methods under the condition of not affecting the performance in order to reduce manufacturing costs. |
